Carbon neutrality at Toyota Tsusho Matex
Carbon neutrality
Carbon neutrality refers to balancing greenhouse-gas
emissions and absorption to realize net zero. Our aim is to
realize a decarbonized society to keep down increases in
global mean temperatures by achieving an effective level of
zero emissions as calculated by subtracting absorption of
carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases through planting,
forest management, and other means from their total
emissions.*
*Artificial absorption and emissions
More than 120 countries and regions around the world have
set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. We are
also striving toward carbon neutrality to realize a
decarbonized society. See the "Environment" page for details
of our initiatives.
